The Thank You Book intends to help children maintain a book of gratitude. In these times when we get held up by all the negative things around us, let us nurture the quality of gratitude in our kids.
This could also be the foundation stone for regular journaling as children grow up. Further, it will help them stay emotionally healthy in the long run.
In this story we talk about a typical children’s journal which belongs to Moon. We also talk about some of the thank you messages that she has written. We see that Moon has not just thanked her favorite people, but also inanimate things like nature and the comfort it provides. Similarly, children can thank just about anyone who might have helped them, or made them feel good on any day.
Having and writing in a thank you book is not just fun. It will also make our kids realize how lucky they are. They will start appreciating all the good people and even the smallest things in their life. It would be best to do this exercise before bedtime with your child. The feeling of gratitude and the happiness that it gives will help them sleep peacefully every night.
Thank you for listening to this podcast. Hope you enjoyed this one. Do share your feedback with us so we can come up with more interesting stories for your little ones.
About our Thank You Book
Read about the gratitude journal that we had published earlier. The paperback copies of this activity book has activity sheets that can be filled by kids to thank their near and dear ones. Since smaller children might be able to emote better through images, there is space to draw images beside every activity sheet.
As mentioned in the podcast, you could also use just about any book to enter your child’s thank you/ gratitude messages. Try to do it regularly, so they can start enjoying the benefits of this simple exercise for the mind.
